<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excessive rotation of an internal combustion engine and a generator motor caused by the unexpected torque of the generator motor at the non-loaded operation or the stop of the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: When the number of revolutions Ne of the engine 20 is out of a prescribed range at the non-loaded operation or the stop of the engine 20, or when the number of revolutions Nm1 of the motor MG1 is out of a prescribed range, a hybrid ECU70 of a hybrid automobile 10 regards that the unexpected torque is generated at the motor MG1, and blocks power supply to the motor MG1 from a battery 46 by using a switching element of an inverter 41. Since an output of power from the motor MG1 is exactly prevented by the block of the power supply, a rise in the number of revolutions of the motor MG1 and a rises in the number of revolutions of the engine 20 can surely be suppressed. Furthermore, fuel injection to the engine 20 is also stopped, a rise in the number of revolutions of the motor MG1 and a rise in the number of revolutions of the engine 20 can further be suppressed by a braking force of the engine 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
