<p>A system and method for ranking online content from multiple Web platforms is disclosed, as well as to a system and method for presenting the ranked online content on a client device. The Web platforms are crawled to retrieve content data corresponding to content elements, and associated social metric data, the social metric data being representative of intent-driven interaction made globally by the community of users with respect to associated respective content elements. The content data is ranked based on the social metric data by valuing the corresponding intent-driven interaction, to present on the client device at least a portion of the content data, sorted in order of relevance as attributed globally by user activity.</p> |
