<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life LED device filled with a powder-like phosphor. <P>SOLUTION: This LED device 10 includes: a ceramic substrate 1; an LED chip 2 mounted on the substrate 1; a cover member 5 made of glass, covering the LED chip 2, and jointed to the substrate 1; and a powder-like phosphor 4 filled in a space formed with the substrate 1 and the cover member 5. Since both the ceramic substrate 1 and the cover member 5 made of glass do not transmit moisture of outside air, and thermal expansion coefficients thereof are similar to each other, a space due to thermal deformation is hardly formed in a joint part. Thereby, moisture is hardly mixed in the inside of the LED device 10, and reaction deterioration of the phosphor 4 by moisture can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
