摘要

The present invention relates to an efficient content-based 3D model retrieval method using a single depth image. The present invention provides a database construction method which can represent a 3D model in a plurality of depth images by adaptively sampling camera viewpoints for obtaining a depth image of one 3D model based on importance and acquiring the depth image from each sampled camera viewpoint, thereby performing 3D model retrieval using only one depth image as a query image. Also, the present invention provides a 3D model retrieval method which can retrieve a 3D model matched with a query image by comparing similarity between the input query image and the depth images stored in a database by using the database constructed as described above.
