Disclosed are: an organic thin film solar cell having a high fill factor and high photoelectric conversion efficiency and also having durability; and an organic photoelectric conversion element material constituting the organic thin film solar cell. Specifically disclosed is an organic photoelectric conversion element equipped with at least a photoelectric conversion layer and a carrier transport layer arranged between a transparent electrode and a counter electrode, wherein the organic photoelectric conversion element is characterized in that a material constituting the carrier transport layer is represented by general formula (1). (In the formula, X1 to X8 independently represent a N atom or a substituted or unsubstituted C atom; Z1 and Z2 independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic or heteroaromatic ring; A represents a reactive group; p represents an integer of 0 to 4; q represents an integer of 2 to 6; r represents an integer of 1 to 6; and * means that a moiety can bind to any replaceable position in the mother nucleus.) |
