摘要 The V-belt continuously variable transmission is provided with: a primary pulley (2); a secondary pulley (3); and a V belt (4) made of metal extended between the two pulleys (2, 3). A plurality of oil splatter detecting sensors (10) comprising pressure sensors are arranged in an array in the circumferential direction in the outside peripheral part of the primary pulley (2). Because there is less oil splatter in an active arc zone in which the gaps among a multitude of elements (5) are small, than in an idle arc zone in which the gaps among a multitude of elements (5) are larger, the boundary position of the two zones is detected from the signals of the sensors (10). The pulley thrust is adjusted on the basis of this boundary position.
