<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel driving device capable of being mounted on a vehicle whose driving system mounting space is limited without increasing the capacity of a battery, and achieving high performance in terms of a torque output and a traveling distance, and preventing the error of the gap quantity of a motor from being accumulated. <P>SOLUTION: A driving motor 500 is driven by power supply from either or both of a generator 210 which generates electric power by the power of an engine 220, and a battery 400, to rotate a rear wheel 102. The driving output of the driving motor 500 is changed by controlling gap quantity between a rotor and a stator by a gap controller 550. When driving indication information is stop information, and the actual operating status of the driving motor 500 is a stop status, a gap quantity calculating part 760 calculates predetermined gap quantity, and outputs it to a gap controller driving circuit 770, and sets the relative position of the rotor and the stator which vary corresponding to the predetermined gap quantity as an initial value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
