PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift restraining device of a sliding door, capable of easily and effectively restraining lift of a sliding door accompanying braking force thereof when the braking force acts on the sliding door. SOLUTION: A lift restraining device of a sliding door comprises: a device body 3 which is mounted on a sliding door D and guides the sliding door D along a rail L; a receiving member 5 which is mounted on a structure and applies a braking force to the device body 3 at an opening/closing midway position of the sliding door D by engaging with the device body 3; and a pressing unit 6 which is mounted on the device body 3 and advances to the sliding door D side accompanying braking of the device body 3 by engaging with the receiving member 5 to press the sliding door D.
