<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the state where even if a particulate filter is forcibly regenerated by fuel addition, micro-particles pass through the particulate filter to be discharged to the downstream side. <P>SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control device, an oxidation catalyst is provided to add fuel into exhaust emission 9 on the upstream side of the catalyst regeneration type particulate filer provided in the midway of an exhaust pipe 11, and the scavenged particulate is burnt by heat of reaction when the added fuel causes oxidative reaction on the oxidation catalyst to forcibly regenerate the particulate filter. The particulate filter is divided into the front and rear stages, and NOx storage reduction catalyst 14 is interposed as a heat accumulator of ventilation structure between the divided front and rear particulate filters 13A, 13B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
