<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make operability satisfactory when performing operation screen transition in a personal digital assistant. <P>SOLUTION: Various operation screens different from one another are selectively displayed on a liquid crystal panel 12 having a touch panel 12a. A side controller 13 is supported within a previously regulated range in a swingable and pressable manner, and an operation signal is transmitted in response to a swinging or pressing operation. A CPU 21 determines whether the touch panel is subjected to a touch operation or whether the side controller is operated, first screen transition control is performed to shift an operation screen displayed on the liquid crystal panel in accordance with the touch operation when it is determined that the touch operation is performed.
