The invention relates to a trailer control valve (1) for a compressed air braking system having a breakaway safeguard valve device (2), which has a control piston (21) that can move longitudinally in a longitudinal bore (20), the control piston (21) having a first piston effective area (31) to which a control pressure can be applied, and also having a throttling piston (25) connected to the control piston (21). On this basis, a trailer control valve with a simplified structure is specified. To this end, provision is made for the control piston (21) to have a second piston effective area (32) to which a supply pressure can be applied, wherein the first and the second piston effective areas (31, 32) exert mutually oppositely directed actuating forces on the control piston (21), and the second piston effective area (32) has a larger diameter than the throttling piston (25). |
