<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a real-time speech communication device which controls a buffer amount under simpler control without unnecessarily increasing the buffer amount. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device 3 which converts an analog speech signal from a microphone of a communication unit into digital speech data and transmits the data through a communication line, and also converts digital speech data received through the communication line into an analog speech signal and then inputs it to a speaker of the communication unit to generate a sound, includes a data buffer circuit 20 which temporarily stores the digital speech data from the communication line 5, and a buffer control unit 22 which controls the buffer amount of the data buffer circuit by setting an increased buffer value obtained by adding a buffer increment to a buffer initial value in sequence each time the remaining buffer amount becomes zero in the data buffer circuit for initialization when the remaining buffer amount becomes zero and the data buffer circuit becomes deficient in buffer amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
