Disclosed are a compound for an organic electroluminescent device represented by structural formula 1; and an organic electroluminescent device including the same. Accordingly, provided is a compound for an organic electroluminescent device which can be used as a host, a hole transfer material, and an electron transfer material having excellent electrical stability and ability to transfer electrons and holes, and having high triplet state energy to improve the light emitting efficiency of a phosphorescent light emitting material.
