摘要 <p>Shuttle operation of a train at a terminal station is performed unpiloted, without a driver boarding the train. A signal that causes a train (12a) to move back to a common passing track (22) is sent to the train (12a) which is on an arrival platform track (22). After the moving back operation has been completed, a signal for switching a front driver's cab (14) between the front and back of the train is sent to a train (12b) on the common passing track (24), and after the switching operation has been completed a signal that causes the train (12b) to move forward towards the departure platform track (26) is sent. The shuttle control corresponding to these signals is executed by an on-board device (16). The execution of the shuttle control is permitted on the condition that a shuttle commencement confirmation from the driver has been detected.</p>
