<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine controllability in a linear motor that moves a movable element in a curve manner as well. <P>SOLUTION: Linear motor control is implemented as follows: Using a position of a movable element and readings of a position detection sensor that outputs first and second signals indicating the direction of movement and having phase differences, (1)calculating a sum of the square of the first signal and the square of the second signal and (2)determining that a linear motor is controllable when the sum of the squares is equal to or above a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
