An IC(Integrated Circuit) chip supporting multiple smart card functions is provided to select one of a plurality of chips which independently perform smart card functions and connect the selected chip to an external terminal so as to support the multiple smart card functions using a single IC chip. An IC chip(100) supporting multiple smart card functions includes an interface(120), a plurality of smart cards, a connection controller(110) and a package. The interface is connected to a communication terminal(20) and a loop antenna connected to the communication terminal to transmit/receive information on the smart cards. The smart cards include applets for processing smart card functions, applet identification information and a chip operating system for managing the applets. The connection controller selects one of the smart cards based on the applet identification information or a smart card selecting signal inputted through the communication terminal or the loop antenna and connects the selected smart card to the interface. The package has an external connection terminal and is attached to the communication terminal. |
