CHANNEL DECODING APPARATUS AND METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A channel decoding apparatus and a method thereof in a mobile communication system are provided to drive plural encoders in parallel and to decode the encoded code-words at a high speed. At least one element decoder(1020) has plural decoding cores and processes the received ending data in parallel. An address generator(1010) sets the data area for processing the encoding data in parallel previously and notifies the set data area to each decoding core. An outside information storing device(1030) stores the data decoded from the element decoder sequentially. The address generator offers the read and write addresses of outside information from the outside information storing device. The address generator includes an area separator(1015). The area separator offers an area of data for operating each decoding core. The real address of each memory is produced through an interleaver(1011) or a de-interleaver(1013).
