METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYTETRAMETHYLENE ETHERGLYCOL USING PRE-REACTOR

A method for preparing polytetramethylene ether glycol is provided to allow the distribution of molecular weight to be controlled and to reduce the deterioration of elasticity, elongation and strength. A method for preparing polytetramethylene ether glycol comprises the steps of injecting tetrahydrofuran(THF) and a recirculation heteropolyacid to a reactor and a pre-reactor, respectively, to prepare a reaction mixture; and optionally mixing the reaction mixture of the pre-reactor with the reaction mixture of the reactor to form a separation phase, wherein the amount of the THF and the recirculation heteropolyacid injected into the pre-reactor is smaller than the amount of the THF and the recirculation heteropolyacid injected into the reactor.
