<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security when outputting a private key to the outside of an IC card, and to perform public key encryption processing even in an IC card having less resources. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a public key encryption processing system and method wherein the public key encryption processing system in which encryption is performed by a public key and decryption is performed by a private key, comprises: a portable recording medium on which only a part of the private key and owner identification information are recorded; a medium utilizing means in which a remaining part of the private key is recorded, it is confirmed that a person carrying the portable recording medium is an authorized owner and when the person enters a specific area, the remaining part of the private key is written on the portable recording medium; and an encryption processing means which receives the private key and information uniquely identifying a device to perform an encryption operation thereon from the portable recording medium on which the remaining part of the private key is written, and performs the encryption operation on the basis of the received private key and information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
