The present invention relates to an alkyd resin and to the process for obtaining same. The alkyd resin according to the invention is obtained by polycondensation of a mixture comprising at least one unsaturated fatty acid and/or one unsaturated fatty acid ester comprising at least one alcohol function, a polyol, a polyacid, and polymerized abietic acid. It also relates to the formulation thereof in the form of an aqueous emulsion and to the use thereof in the field of inks, coatings and, in particular, binders for paint.
