PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramide production promotor having high ceramide production promotion effects, and to provide a therapeutic medicine for squamous cell carcinoma, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, etc., which are highly relevant with ceramide, by promoting production of ceramide within the epidermal keratinocyte. SOLUTION: At least one kind of extract selected from the group consisting of Rehmania glutinosa extract and Geranium thunbergii extract has high ceramide production promotion effects, and enables to treat and prevent cutaneous disorders such as squamous cell carcinoma, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, by promoting production of ceramide in the skin.
