An ultrasonic generator is provided to attain size reduction, weight reduction, and cost reduction of a device by using a flat plate-like horn, and to send electric power to an ultrasonic vibrator through the horn. An ultrasonic generator includes: an ultrasonic vibrator(1) which generates ultrasonic vibration; and a horn(16) which has a joint surface(16a) to be connected to the ultrasonic vibrator, and an ultrasonic emission surface(16b) which sends ultrasonic waves to a target site. The horn is a flat plate-like horn in which the joint surface and the ultrasonic emission surface are opposite to each other. A horn-side connection terminal(11) to be electrically connected to one electrode(13) of the ultrasonic vibrator through the plate-like horn, is in contact with an outer circumference of the joint surface of the plate-like horn surrounding the ultrasonic vibrator at plural sites. |
