A method and a system for registering and searching product information are provided to offer explanation for a product sold in a marketplace site efficiently through search services provided by portal sites. A marketplace server(131) receives a product registration request including explanation, which includes a product image, from a user terminal. A marketplace database server(132) extracts the product image from the product explanation, transmits the product image to an image file database server(133), generates an image list based on the product explanation and a resource ID of the image file server, and transmits the image list to a search service database server. The search service database server associates the image list with a keyword related to the product explanation. The image list includes at least one command for managing the image list for the search service database server. A marketplace database server transmits the resource ID of the product explanation to a UCC(User Created Contents) database server(352). The UCC database server generates UCC including the image list and transmits the resource ID of the UCC to the search service database server.
