The present invention provides a cervical plate (1000) and bone graft(s) (302) that are capable of being attached prior to insertion of the bone graft (302) into an intervertebral space. After insertion, the vertebrae hold the bone graft (302) and cervical plate (1000) in place facilitating the anchoring of the cervical plate (1000) to the vertebrae. Further, a screw back out prevention device (1002) can be coupled to the cervical plate (1000) to prevent screws (1004) from backing out.
