The present invention relates to a rotating type electronic shift lever. More specifically, the rotating type electronic shift lever comprises: a P shift; a console side on which a hollow hole unit is formed; a rotatable load wherein a motor is combined on one end; a display unit combined on the other end of the load including a display surface on which a shift gear is displayed on an outer side surface to be exposed through the hollow hole; and an operation unit including a button controlling the operation of the motor and a control unit. The display unit has eccentricity in order to change the height and position of the display surface protruded to an upper part in accordance to each shift gear, and is combined in the load such that a driver is less damaged when a car accident occurs; the driver can enjoy driving when changing the shift gear; and is easy to recognize the current state of the shift gear.
