In the present invention, there is described a method of delivering double-stranded RNA or DNA capable of producing double-stranded RNA to an organism differing from a human carried out for the non-therapeutic purpose. The invented method comprises feeding of the organism with a bacterial or yeast cell containing an expression vector having two promoters oriented relative to the DNA sequence such that they are capable, after binding of a suitable transcription factor to said promoters, to initiate transcription of the said DNA sequence to the two-stranded RNA. There is further described a non-therapeutic use of a bacterial or yeast cell containing an expression vector having two promoters oriented relative to the DNA sequence such that they are capable, after binding of a suitable transcription factor to said promoters, to initiate transcription of the said DNA sequence to the two-stranded RNA for the production of the two-stranded RNA in an organism differing from a human by feeding the said organism with a bacterial of yeast cell. |
