The present invention relates to a composition for detecting amyloid plaque, comprising a novel compound for detecting the amyloid plaque or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a composition for diagnosing amyloid plaque related diseases, and a method for detecting the amyloid plaque. The compound according to the present invention: has high binding affinity with the amyloid plaque and has enhanced fluorescence characteristics, thereby being able to specifically binding with the amyloid plaque; and does not use radiochemicals, thereby being useful for diagnosing the amyloid plaque related diseases.
