A patch panel has a connector section 10 with a front face, a rear face and a plurality of apertures 20 for cable connectors. Brackets 11 are releasably attached to each end of the connector section 10 for mounting the panel to a support frame with the front face accessible from the front of the frame. The connector section has opposed outer parts 12 extending rearwardly of the brackets at an acute angle to a notional line 28 extending between the brackets. The connector section further has adjacent inner parts 13 connected together at their inner ends through a central part 14 and at their outer ends to the outer parts 12, the inner parts 13 extending forwardly towards said line 28 at an acute angle thereto. The patch panel inner parts 13, having cable apertures 20 supporting connector sockets 21, thus lie at an angle to one another, thereby facilitating cable connection; but no part of the front face need project forwards of the mounting brackets 11, thereby enabling the patch panel to be mounted within a cabinet without interference between the patch panel and a door of the cabinet. |
