<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drum brake device which can achieve a miniaturization and a reduction in processing cost by simplifying the structure of a cylinder body of a wheel-cylinder assembly. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of pistons 31, 32 which is provided to the cylinder body 60 of the wheel-cylinder assembly 6 of the drum brake device is brought into contact with a pair of brake shoes 3, 4 which is expanded and opened by the pair of pistons 31, 32 at the time of braking. The cylinder body 60 has a single straight tubular structure, and both its ends are opened. One end side of the cylinder body 60 becomes a cylinder part 34 for one piston, and the other end side becomes a cylinder part 35 for the other piston.
