A MGO PROTECTING LAYER COMPRISING ELECTRON EMISSION PROMOTING MATERIAL , METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME AND PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL COMPRISING THE SAME

A MgO protecting layer comprising electron emission promoting material is provided to improve secondary electron emission characteristic by using the MgO protective film containing the electron emission accelerated substance. A MgO protective film(33) is formed on a substrate(30) while containing the electron emission accelerated substance. The electron emission accelerate substance locally can exist in the surface of the MgO protective film. The electron emission accelerated substance exists in the surface of the MgO protective film in the form of the electron emission facilitation layer. The electron affinity of the electron emission accelerated substance can be -1eV or 1eV. The work function of the electron emission accelerated substance can be 0eV or 3.5eV.
