<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cholesterol derivative having little toxicity to a living body, having a high encapsulation rate, and high solubility in supercritical carbon dioxide, providing excellent contrastradiography not only of the systemic blood vessel and the liver but also of the pancreas, and exhibiting safetiness of a large part being excreted to the outside of the body within 24 hr, and to provide a liposome, a method for forming the liposome and a contrast medium for X-rays containing the liposome. <P>SOLUTION: The cholesterol derivative is represented by general formula (1) (wherein, G is a monovalent sugar residue having a hydroxy group forming an ether bond with the sugar at the anomer position of the sugar; a wave-shaped line shows that the configuration of the anomer position of the sugar is anα-configuration and/or aβ-configuration; and n is an integer of 1-150). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
