PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst body which can efficiently eliminate harmful gases such as carbon monoxide mixed in the air without heating in the natural environment where human beings live and prevent the function from deteriorating in a short time, and to provide a user-friendly air cleaning filter holding the catalyst on a light-weight and soft filter base material.

SOLUTION: The catalyst body 1 having core particles 13, a hygroscopic water feed layer 14 formed on the core particles 13 and catalyst material particles 10 adhered to the water feed layer 14 is adhered to the filter base material 21 made of a nonwoven cloth through a hygroscopic binder layer 22.
