A traction style transfer apparatus is provided to move a carriage upward and downward to transfer passengers and cargo according to a circulation track and reduce constructing cost in no need of installing the circulation track on a ground. A traction style transfer apparatus comprises the following units. A track(20) fixed in a post(10) which is positioned at a predetermined distance from a ground(1) accommodates a space inside. A frame(30) is installed in an upper part of the track and transferred along the track. A driving gear(40) combined with a lower part of the frame and rotated by a motor engages a gear(21) formed in an upper part of the track. A up/down wheel(50) installed in a lower part of the frame rotates along the track.
