SHADING DEVICE FOR A GLASS SURFACE REGION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

A shading device for a glass surface region of a motor vehicle is provided. The shading device has a flexible shading formation which is movably supported between a rest position compactly stored in an interior of a vehicle and a tensioned shading position. A dimensionally stable draw-out profile member is provided on the front in the tensioning direction of the front end region of the shading formation. The draw-out profile member can be moved to the rest position or the shading position of the shading formation by a linearly movable lifting rod. The lifting rod is linked to a drive unit to lift up or down the lifting rod. According to the present invention, the draw-out profile member has a support receiving member closed upwards in the lifting direction which is opened downwards, and to receive and release the lifting rod in accordance with the movement direction of the lifting rod; and the draw-out profile member is linked to a locking device which fixates the draw-out profile member to a vehicle in the shading position. The locking device may be used for a side door of a personal motor vehicle.
