<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting composition which gives a cured product having high abrasion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosetting composition includes an inorganic polymer obtained by hydrolytic condensation of inorganic polymer constituents including a compound represented by the formula (1): M(R1)<SB>n</SB>(OR2)<SB>4-n</SB>and a silane compound represented by the formula (2): Si(R3)<SB>p</SB>(OR4)<SB>4-p</SB>, a water-soluble polyfunctional (meth)acrylate, and a polymerization initiator. In the formula (1), M is Si, Ti or Zr; R1 represents phenyl, 1-30C alkyl or a 1-30C hydrocarbon group having an epoxy group; R2 represents 1-6C alkyl; and n represents an integer of 0-2.
