PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer coating film having excellent transparency, weatherability and antifouling property for a long time, capable of preventing fading and fouling after the passage of time and retaining the initial design for a long time. SOLUTION: The multilayer coating film has an undercoat layer and a topcoat layer provided on the undercoat layer. The multilayer coating film is formed from a water-based organic inorganic composite composition where the undercoat layer is an organic polymer-based coating film and the topcoat layer includes metal oxide particles whose number-average particle diameter is 1-400 nm and polymer emulsion particles whose number-average particle diameter is 10-800 nm; where the total surface area of the polymer emulsion particles is in the range of 1-46% to the sum of the total surface area of the metal oxide particles and the total surface area of the polymer emulsion particles; and where the lowest film-forming temperature of the polymer emulsion particles is≥10°C.
