A sliding type portable communication device is provided to lock a housing when the housing is slid, thereby preventing flowing and providing a locking click feeling. A contact unit(102) is in a main body housing(10). A module(200) faces the contact unit in a sliding housing(20). The module is contacted or separated with or from the contact unit when the housing is slid. When contacting with the contact unit, the module provides a locking click feeling while locking the sliding housing.
