METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING SIGNAL INTERFERENCE IN DUAL TUNER

A method for preventing signal interference in a dual tuner according to the present invention comprises the steps of: (A) extracting a packet identifier (PID) from a signal received by a first tuner; (B) determining whether the PID extracted in the step (A) is a PID of a channel selected by a user; and (C) reducing the intensity of a signal inputted to a second tuner when the PID extracted in the step (A) is not the PID of the channel selected by the user, thereby preventing signal interference in a dual tuner and watching one or two channels selected by the user with a clear definition without signal interference by respectively processing the signals received by the two tuners.
