PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a storage box for vehicle in which a lid body is constituted so that a lock piece or a lock piece engaging part with which the lock piece is engaged may not become a protruded part in an opening position of the lid body where the opening part of the box body is opened. SOLUTION: A hinge piece 51 is provided in one end side of a support base 42 supporting a lid body 41 to slide, the lock piece engaging part 6 is formed in the hinge piece 51 side and the lock piece 7 engaged with a lock piece engaging part 6 is provided in the lid body 41 side. The engagement of the lock piece 7 with the lock piece engaging part 6 is canceled by sliding the lid body 41 against the support base 42 and the lid body 41 is turned together with the support base 42 by the hinge piece 51 against a box body 2. The hinge piece 51 including the lock piece engaging part 6 and the lock piece 7 are covered with a cover piece 42a formed in the support base 42 to form so that appearance may be invisible.
