A method of blocking inflow of seawater in the entry of a ship is provided to prevent inflow of seawater by lifting a ship with a hydraulic cylinder when a ship goes from sea to fresh water. A method of blocking inflow of seawater in the entry of a ship is composed of a civil structure(1), a partition(12), a horizontal beam(3), a vertical beam(4), and a movable beam(11). A waterway is formed in the civil structure. The partition is formed in the central part of the waterway to prevent the mixing of seawater and fresh water. The horizontal beam comprises a depressed unit which is formed in the central part in order to be similar to the bottom shape of the ship. The vertical beams are arranged to support the horizontal beam at regular intervals. The movable beam which is formed as a hollow square pipe is fixed to the horizontal beam and vertical beam. A guide beam(10) which guides the movable beam is installed outside the movable beam. A horizontal reinforcing beam(9) is fixed to the top and bottom of the guide beam. Vertical reinforcing beams(8) are fixed to the both ends and central part of the horizontal reinforcing beam.
