PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge control resin which is excellent in severe environmental stability and shelf stability, and a toner which is excellent in severe environmental stability, shelf stability, contamination prevention of members, and development durability and allows formation of a high quality toner image. SOLUTION: A charge control resin is obtained by polymerizing at least a polymerizable monomer and a polymerizable charge control resin. The polymerizable charge control resin is a styrene resin having a quaternary ammonium salt group as a functional group and is a macromonomer having a double bond at a terminal.
