<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component blanking device etc., which improves cutting precision. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic component blanking device includes a blanking base provided in a conveyance path for carrier tape, a blanking blade which has a blade for blanking the periphery of a body of an electronic component provided to the carrier tape and is elevated from and lowered to the base surface of the blanking base, and positioning pins to be partially inserted into holes provided at predetermined intervals along respective lengthwise ends of the tape carrier. The positioning pins or the blanking blade are provided movably in the width direction of the tape carrier, and moved within a range such that a hole in the opposite direction from the direction of a movement to be made is outside the region of a blanking position of the blanking blade with respect to the base surface.
