摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the endurance of an electrode material used for a fuel cell, an electrolysis cell and the like, and including metal particles with their surface covered with a porous inorganic material.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrode material comprises the steps of: dispersing, in a solvent, an electrode catalyst 130 including conductive carriers 120 with metal particles 110 supported thereon; then, adding a silane compound including a sulfur atom as a porous inorganic material precursor 1; thereafter, adding a silane compound as a porous inorganic material precursor 2, followed by rinse, separation and dry steps; and subsequently, performing a thermal treatment to enhance the crystallinity of the porous inorganic material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
