<p>There is described an electrical machine for converting rotational energy into electrical energy. The described machine comprises (a) a stator, (b) a winding (110, 211, 311) arranged at the stator, (c) a rotor (120, 221) arranged to be rotatable relative to the stator and adapted to induce an electric current in the winding during rotation, and (d) an electrically conductive structure (240, 340, 441, 442) arranged between the winding and the rotor to reduce a capacitance (C wr ) between the winding and the rotor. There is further described a generator for a wind turbine, the generator comprising an electric machine. Yet further, a wind turbine comprising a generator is described, and finally, a method of constructing an electrical machine is described.</p> |
