PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator rope that prevents oil film shortage of grease of the elevator rope in a wider range of temperature environments than before and achieves both high traction properties and high wear resistance, and an elevator comprising the same.SOLUTION: In the elevator rope, the surface of the strand is covered with grease, and the grease is a composition comprising a base oil represented by the general formula, and a thickener comprising at least one of a metal soap and a urea compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
