<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress fluctuation of driving torque of a carriage motor in a recording device. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device performs recording while reciprocating a carriage having a recording head thereon by the motor. Driving of the motor is commanded, a speed of the carriage is measured, a plurality of test signals are generated, the motor is test-driven for multiple times based on the drive command, the measured speed of the carriage and the plurality of the test signals, and a signal showing the driving torque fluctuation of the carriage motor test-driven in correspondence with the plurality of the test signals is acquired, and a correction signal is generated based on the signal showing the driving torque fluctuation in correspondence with the plurality of the test signals. The method includes a step for controlling so as to drive the motor based on the drive command, the measured speed of the carriage and the correction signal during recording. The driving torque fluctuation of the motor when the motor is driven based on the correction signal is smaller than any of the driving torque fluctuation of the motor in test-driving for multiple times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
