The furnace according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a crucible; at least one carbon electrode rod installed in the crucible; and an inhibitor injecting device to inject a ferrous oxide increasing inhibitor to the inner portion of the crucible in order to suppress the consumption of the carbon electrode rod.
