PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for easily removing a metal halide precipitant which is a by-product from organoalkoxysilane having an acryloyloxy group.SOLUTION: There is provided a purification method including a process of washing a mixture of acryloyloxysilane represented by the formula (IV), a first metal halide and a non-polar solvent with a solution containing water and, if any, second metal halide to produce an organic phase containing the acryloyloxysilane and a water phase containing at least a part of the first metal halide.
