PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter where the increase of the pressure loss of the filter caused by the accumulation of PM is suppressed by accelerating the oxidation of the PM.SOLUTION: In a filter equipped with an inflow cell where a downstream side end part is sealed and the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine flows inside, an outflow cell where an upstream side end part is sealed and the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine outflows and a partition wall being disposed between the inflow cell and the outflow cell, passing the exhaust gas and having pores collecting particulate substances, the inflow cell is equipped with a fiber part filled with a fibrous member including a PM oxidation catalyst which is a catalyst for oxidizing the particulate substances. The particulate substances pass through the fiber part without being collected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
