PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that specifies an original image from a picked-up image and then quickly specifies a modified position, an image processing method, and an image processing program. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: an image obtaining part that obtains a photographed image by photographing a second printed image that is obtained by modifying a first printed image into which a code is embedded; a decoding part that obtains the code that is embedded into the first printed image based on the feature amount of the second printed image from the photographed image; and a modified coordinates obtaining part that obtains the coordinates of the modified portion in the photographed image based on the code obtained by the decoding part.
